Start a Recording
You can start a meeting recording in a few ways:- From the Meeting Notes page in the Snaply app
- From the tray menu
- From an optional Meeting Notes shortcut
- From an automatic meeting-detection prompt when a supported video call starts
Stop Or Cancel
Once a meeting is recording, you can:- Stop and transcribe to save and process the meeting
- Cancel if you do not want to keep the recording
Live Recording Indicator
Meeting Notes includes a live recording indicator you can show while a recording is active. When enabled, it appears on the right side of your screen during recording. From there, you can open the live meeting, stop and transcribe, or cancel the capture. To change it:- Open Settings -> Meeting Notes
- Toggle Display live recording indicator
Before You Record
Snaply may ask you to complete setup before the first full recording:- Microphone access
- System audio review
- Diarizer download and initialization on compatible Macs
What Audio Gets Captured
- Your microphone
- System audio, when macOS permissions allow it
Automatic Meeting Detection
When Detect meetings automatically is enabled, Snaply can show a top-right suggestion when it detects a supported video call. For supported calls, Snaply can ask whether you want to start taking notes when the call begins and whether you want to stop when the call ends. You can change this in Settings -> Meeting Notes.Upload A Recording Instead
If the meeting already happened, click Upload audio recording from the Meeting Notes page. Supported formats are:WAVM4AMP3
