Meeting Notes gives you a few ways to start and manage recording so you can use the app in the way that fits the call.

Start a Recording

You can start a meeting recording in three ways:
  1. From the Meeting Notes page in the Snaply app
  2. From the tray menu
  3. From an optional Meeting Notes shortcut

Stop or Cancel

Once a meeting is recording, you can:
  • Stop and transcribe to save and process the meeting
  • Cancel if you do not want to keep the recording

Live Recording Indicator

Meeting Notes includes a live recording indicator you can show while a recording is active. When enabled, it appears on the right side of your screen during recording. To change it:
  1. Open Settings -> Meeting Notes
  2. Toggle Display live recording indicator

Before You Record

Snaply may ask you to complete setup before the first full recording:
  • Microphone access
  • System audio review
  • Diarizer download and initialization, when supported
If you try to start recording from a shortcut and setup is incomplete, Snaply can send you straight back to Meeting Notes settings.

What Audio Gets Captured

  • Your microphone
  • System audio, when macOS permissions allow it
For calls, System Audio is what helps Snaply hear the other participants instead of only you.
