Ask AI is how you keep working after the call ends. Instead of rereading the transcript line by line, ask Snaply to work from the meeting context directly.

What Ask AI Can Do

Ask AI can help you:
  • draft follow-up emails
  • list action items
  • summarize decisions
  • Answer questions about what happened in the meeting
  • Surface open questions and unresolved topics

How It Works

  1. Open a completed meeting in the Meeting Notes workspace.
  2. Click Ask AI.
  3. Ask a question or choose a starter prompt.
Snaply keeps conversations attached to the meeting. You can start a new chat, reopen older chats, or delete chats you no longer need.

Starter Prompts In The App

  • Draft follow-up email
  • List action items
  • Summarize decisions
  • What were the open questions?

What Context It Uses

Ask AI uses the meeting transcript and notes, when available. That makes it useful for:
  • Fast recap work
  • Preparing follow-up messages
  • Checking what was agreed
  • Turning discussion into structured next steps
It works for live recordings and uploaded recordings after Snaply has created the meeting session.

Privacy

Ask AI can stay local with the built-in Writing Assistant model. If you change your model setup in Writing Assistant models, Ask AI follows that same choice for meeting follow-up. If you choose a cloud model, the meeting context needed for the answer is sent to that provider.

Model Readiness

If Ask AI or generated notes need attention, Snaply shows a recovery card in the meeting workspace instead of leaving you with a blank result. Common fixes include downloading the local model, connecting a cloud model, adding a missing API key, or choosing another model.
